about us

Picture
I have periodic events where I sell crafts from Uganda. I am from Uganda and all the crafts I sell are handmade there except for a few which were handmade in Kenya. I have baskets, jewelry, handbags, baby mobiles, Christmas nativities, hand crafted artwork including batik and inlaid designs, toys, and some other items. I use the proceeds from the sale of the crafts to pay the school fees for children in Uganda. All profits support education for Ugandan children.

Who We Are

I'm Margaret Asiimwe Lahaie.  I grew up in a rural village in Western Uganda.  I met my husband Brent when he came to Uganda in 2007.  Since 2010 we've been married and living in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, raising our family of four children.

Our History

With help from my husband Brent and my children, I import handmade crafts from Uganda as a way of raising money to help pay school fees for children in Uganda.  I started by bringing a few items from Uganda to sell at various churches, then for a time I had a weekly booth at a local farmer's market here in Pittsburgh.  Now we have periodic sales, especially during the holiday season, which are typically held at churches and other locations around Pittsburgh.
