Change purses are made from banana fiber and palm leaves.  Each purse takes two to three hours to make.  Making crafts such as purses is a way for women in Uganda to make money to sustain their families.  Our purses are made by women of the Butooro tribe in the town of Fort Portal in Western Uganda.
